Abstract
This experiment was conducted to compare the growth and rooting rate of rose cutting by season and rooting media. In spring cutting, rooting rates were lower than the winter cutting. Rooting of ¢¥Dolores¢¥ and ¢¥Rote Rose¢¥ was better in rockwool while ¢¥Jelfarlay¢¥ showed no difference between soil mixed and rockwool. Quality of cuttings after rooting of spring cutting was same as winter cutting. In summer cutting, rooting rates were similar to spring cutting with 60-85% in rockwool, however, rooting rate in soil was very low with 3-26%. Quality of cuttings after rooting was similar to spring cutting. In winter cutting, rooting rates were over 95% both in soil mixed and rockwool, however, quality of cuttings was better in soil mixed than in rockwool.
